The request for change of title from Bale was granted by the British administration and was gazette on the 9th of July, 1936.

This day 9th July 1936, the title of BALE OF IBADANLAND was changed to OLUBADAN, with Oba Aleshinloye as its first Olubadan having been BALE since 1930. Oba Abass Aleshinloye who was also referred to as Baale Elelubo served as the king until his death in 1946.
